fantastic location, hotel was clean, room was very very small and access up the stairs very difficult, it says its a 3 star hotel, personally I'd give it 2 stars only, I'd rather pay more and have a better access hotel with larger rooms and better facilities

I booked in a triple room with my daughters for three nights. The room was basic but clean and it had absolutely everything we needed. The location was unbeatable and the staff was nice and friendly. Special mention to Eric at the front desk who was full of tips and tricks and delighted my girls with origami, old French cartoons, and insight on how to best learn a new language.

An old style unique property that holds lots of charm. If you enjoy older style accomodation with history this is it. Open from 1887! Eric at reception is just the best welcoming anyone can get. Other staff all lovely. You will have to carry cases up stairs as it’s an older building with no lifts. Comfortable beds, good shower and very clean.

Very tiny rooms, with unacceptable access to the room. Not usable elevator and super steep and small staircase. If you have luggage, impossible to access your room. Miserable bathroom. An absolute place to avoid and not to recommend. Cleanliness is just borderline but still ok. Atmosphere is horrible

I honestly thought I was booking a different hotel but when I we arrived I realized this hotel was actually the hotel around the corner of where I thought we were originally going to stay. There were three of us on the trip and I wanted to make sure we booked a triple room. We stayed two non-consecutive nights. The rooms are clean and I felt safe in the hotel. There are two triple rooms in the hotel. On our second night stay we were in what I remember as room 18. Beware as that room has a pair of swinging doors (think old west saloon) instead of a pocket door for the bathroom. So if you want more privacy, steer clear of that room. The swinging doors were also pretty squeaky so we bought some WD40 to alleviate the noise as we didn't want to wake people up with a middle of the night bathroom break. The location is great with lots of restaurant choices and close to the Louvre. I think there may be option to purchase breakfast when you book your room. We did not but they did offer coffee to us when we asked in the morning. It's good for a one night stop but I probably wouldn't book a multiple day stretch here.
